i used grapeseed oil instead of peanut (peanut would have been better flavor, but i didn’t have it). it was pretty delicious. i threw in a little extra cayenne, garam masala, and curry powder, ’cause i didn’t remember how long i’d had them. i also used hot paprika (recipe didn’t specify). it turned out pretty spicy… i’d say don’t throw in extra spices and go with regular paprika to go easier on the little mouths. but i might be more of a wuss than them. :)
